Southern Africa Church Development Trust

Welcome

Welcome to the SACDT web site.

2010 is a BIG year for SACDT!  We are 50 years old and we are going to celebrate!

In 1960 two men from Somerset West near Cape Town were moved by God to form the South African Church Development Trust.  This year, in September, a plaque will be dedicated in the church of All Saints, Somerset West to mark the vision of Harold Wilson and Arthur Spencer-Payne.  Both families will be represented and Trust Director of Projects, the Rev'd Dr Jack Mulder and his wife will be there.  As well as this;

Our GOLDEN JUBILEE APPEAL for 2010

The  University Anglican Centre Extension

at the National University of Lesotho

An ambitious project, but one which has vision and one which cannot be achieved without the help of fellow Anglicans and friends. It is vital that a centre like this, at the heart of the university, has adequate space for activities. It is hoped to extend the building to twice its original size, to serve the growing number of students and families who worship here and who use the facilities for AIDS counselling, workshops and meetings
